To consider the psychological and physiological effects of smoking.

To discuss the implications of smoking, and the difficulty of giving up.

To stop smoking by meeting individual set targets.

To teach stress management and relaxation techniques.

To improve confidence in performing everyday tasks without
the aid of
tobacco.
Each group consists of five weekly sessions each lasting 60
minutes. Each group has a maximum of 10 members, and no new
members are accepted once the course
has started. Each lesson is fully supported by extensive audio-visual
material, and the lessons are reinforced by practical demonstrations and
exercises.
