Relaxation Techniques

 

Aims and objectives:

1. To define stress, and discuss and share knowledge of its ill-effects.

2. To discuss techniques to eliminate, reduce or cope with stressors.

3. To develop skills to cope with symptoms of anxiety and pressure.

4. To develop and practice skills in controlling breathing.

5. To correct poor breathing patterns.

6. To recognise unnecessary muscle tension and causes of fatigue.

7. To instill and improve the confidence of the individual.

Group size:

Maximum of 10 people.

Structure:

Two hours in total, in one or two sessions.
