Living with Stress

 

Aims and objectives:

1. To define stress, and discuss and share knowledge of its ill-effects.

2. To recognise stress and its contributing factors.

3. To teach methods and techniques to eliminate, reduce or cope with stress symptoms.

4. To improve or modify lifestyles and attitudes, emphasising positive health.

5. To recognise unnecessary muscle tension and causes of fatigue.

6. To develop and practice controlled breathing and to correct poor breathing patterns.

7. To practice deep relaxation in order to perform everyday tasks in a more relaxed way.

8. To improve the confidence of the individual in himself and in the group.

Group size

Maximum of 10 people.

Structure:

This 12-hour course is divided into a series of short sessions to fit in with the Clients' requirements.
